After an extended hiatus, Breaking the Panel returns, Monday, April 1st at 10:30 pm EST.

Over the past year or so, my friend Casey Edwards and I have shared many insightful and challenging conversations about our work, our careers and the business worlds in which we struggle to thrive.  Casey and I have decided to bring those conversations to a podcast, formatted to be a topical, content-rich discussion between two artists and their occasional guests.  If you're interested in sequential storytelling, the application of technology, graphic design, figuring out your next step & taking it, illustration, balancing work & life, questions about success & failure, and so many more aspects of the life of an artist, this might be the podcast for you!

Join us for the *ALL NEW* Breaking the Panel on Talkshoe, or download the show afterwards.
I did some general housekeeping at my website, Tim Fischer's COMIX MILL, to shift the focus onto my new webcomics series, Fallen World, to make it easier to find me via social media, and to promote my availability and guidelines for commissioned artwork!
My new webcomic project, Fallen World, will launch on Monday, December 17th, 2012.  I'm beyond excited to premier the first chapter of this story, which is the culmination of a dozen different ideas that have been bangin' around in my head for over a decade!

Fallen World will be for ADULTS ONLY.
I still have about a dozen commissioned illustrations left to draw and a new webcomics project (or three) to develop.  So, until my workload thins out a bit, I'm not taking on any more commissions.

That is all.
I'd like to thank you all for visiting my deviantART gallery, for watching my page and for the many, many clicks on my "Add to Favourites" buttons!

To celebrate my pending 50,000th pageview, I'm going to give away a commissioned illustration.  That's right -- totally FREE!  Here's what you have to do: In the Comments section of this Journal Entry, throw me out an idea of what you'd like to see me draw.  I'll pick one lucky winner, totally at my own whim, and I'll decide whether I want to draw it digitally or traditionally, or whatever.

So, come up with something crazy or fun or weird or (more than) slightly perverted, and write it down here.  This giveaway will end as soon as I hit 50,000 pageviews, which shouldn't be too far off.  Don't drag your feet, or your knuckles!  Take a chance!  You might just get lucky.

...not that kind of "lucky," weirdo!  Geez...
This is a GREAT time to pick up a custom-made piece of my original artwork. For a limited time, I'm offering art collectors a new, inexpensive option:

A $30 marker illustration of a SINGLE character, with a limited background (at the artist's discretion), finished in NEUTRAL GRAY Copic™ markers and Prismacolor™ pencils on 9 " X 12" Strathmore™ Bristol board or drawing paper. Large animals or monsters count as characters. Check out this example of Top Cow Productions' Aphrodite IX.

This sale ends Saturday, March 3rd, 2012.
Over at my website, COMIX MILL, I've posted new guidelines for commissioning illustrations.

Check 'em out!
Here's the news: The Wife and I have started a t-shirt design company, Hidden Base Designs.  The company website will be evolving as we get closer to opening our online store in mid-November.  To help us get the company up and running, we've launched a Kickstarter project page.  Check it out!

As a reward for pledging just $15 to our Kickstarter project, you'll receive a set of ALL THREE WWII-inspired STAR WARS propaganda posters.

Do Your Duty, Trooper
The Droid Menace
Sacrifice

Each 11" X 17" poster is printed on heavy cardstock, perfect for framing!

Every pledge, no matter how small, will help us reach our goal. We'll gladly take a dollar, or two dollars, or five or ten. Whatever you can spare. Also, if you have a friend or family member that you think might like our t-shirts, please send them a link to our site.  We'd really appreciate it!

Be Nerdy.  Look Good.
The Wife and I are starting a t-shirt company, Hidden Base Designs.  Find us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for all the latest news, giveaways, contests and much, MUCH MORE!
When you attend pop culture conventions (celebrating comic books, movies, anime, science fiction, etc.), do you:

1. Buy a screen-printed graphic t-shirt?

2. If so, what size do you prefer?

3. Buy t-shirts ONLY if they're officially licensed products?

4. Buy a souvenir t-shirt commemorating that particular show?

5. Make time to browse t-shirt and apparel vendors at conventions?

6. Buy funny/nerdy/geeky t-shirts someplace other than conventions?

If you have any thoughts or opinions about screen-printed graphic t-shirts, I'd love to hear them.  Thank you in advance for your input!
A recent commission deal went south on me, and I'm stuck with some artwork that I need to sell:

• Harley Quinn Rendered in Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils on 9" X 12" Bristol board - [link]

• Catwoman Rendered in Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils on 9" X 12" Bristol board - [link]

• Batgirl Rendered in Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils on 9" X 12" Bristol board - [link]

Each piece of artwork has a Buy It Now option and no reserve.  So, watch, bid or buy!  Thanks!
I've deleted a few deviations from my gallery -- a few pieces of artwork that I was unhappy with/sick of looking at.  If I deleted one of your FAVOURITES, I apologize.  I hope that you understand (that artists are, at times, crazy).

Dear Life with The Wife Readers;

If you've ever noticed that I draw The Wife's boobs rather LARGE, that's because they ARE large.  BIG.  Really, REALLY BIG.  HU-- What was I saying?  Oh, yeah!  Soon, The Wife will be undergoing breast reduction surgery, hoping to alleviate all kinds of back problems and pain.  Suddenly, she's going to need all new bras, and those girls can be expensive, especially if you have to buy a whole bunch of them at once.  Y'know what I'm saying, ladies?

Here's my request: If you (or your friends or spouses or girlfriends or family members) have any Victoria's Secret™ gift cards with a leftover balance (like, a dollar or two) on them that you'll probably never remember to use, please send them to me.  The Wife wants to walk into a Victoria's Secret™ store and buy a bra off the rack, a simple transaction that her "measurements" have always prevented her from doing, a simple transaction that the average woman might not think twice about.  After her surgery, The Wife is finally going to be able to do that.  No more hunting in specialty stores for odd sizes and maybe finding only one or two appropriately-sized garments with practically no choice of style or color.  As her adoring husband, I'd love to be able to shower her with as many new bras as she wants, in all sorts of girly colors and frilly styles.  Any added financial support from you, the readers of her cartoonified shenanigans, would be tremendously appreciated.

If you would like to help, send me a NOTE here on deviantART, and I will reply with our mailing address.  Thanks for the support.

Get it?  "Support!"  Like a bra?  Supp-- Oh, never mind...
My very first Life with The Wife comic strip received a Daily Deviation today, and I'm thrilled!  BIG THANKS to :iconkangel: for submitting my work to the deviantART powers-that-be.

You can check out MORE Life with The Wife strips, as well as my other comics, at my website, COMIX MILL.

Thanks for all the FAVs and comments, everybody!
I know that it's not a HUGE number, compared to some of the most popular artists here on deviantART, but I appreciate all the feedback and kind words from my fellow deviants over the past few years!  Thank you!
Recently, I created a pair of STAR WARS™ themed images inspired by the propaganda posters of World War II, Do Your Duty, Trooper and The Droid Menace. Response to these designs has been tremendous. Since I'm not an official STAR WARS™ artist, but I have friends and colleagues who are, I wouldn't feel right selling unlicensed STAR WARS™ merchandise. So, instead, I'm giving them away for FREE!

Check out the details of this special offer and get your FREE prints at the COMIX MILL STORE.  Offer ends January 22nd, 2011.

...and there's a BIG Life with The Wife announcement on the horizon!  Details coming soon...

As 2011 approaches, and I plan for the exciting changes the New Year will bring, I will be working on an overhaul of my website, COMIX MILL.  Traditionally, COMIX MILL has been the only place where a fan of my work can check out my preliminary drawings and sketches, as I've only ever posted finished artwork here in my deviantART gallery.  Part of COMIX MILL's streamlining will be the removal of those sketches and doodles.  My deviantART page will become the sole online repository of all my conceptual and illustrative artwork.  Over the next few days, I'll be moving those unfinished drawings and sketches to my Scrapbook here on deviantART.  So, be sure to check them out!

Talk to you in January of 2011, when I plan to give away prints of my much-favorited STAR WARS propaganda posters for FREE!  Stay tuned for more details...
